about me

I'm self-motivated and enjoy working in the areas of automatic control, software engineering, building automation systems (BAS/BMS), and state of the art technology, IoT devices, just to name a few.

I am myself a PhD, a qualified electrical and controls engineer, a software developer, but most importantly a family man. That’s why it’s crucial that, in today's fast paced business world, work-life balance is maintained .

Trust me, I'm a practicalist!

Work Experiences

Senior BMS Engineer
(System Integration Tridium Cert.)

Elliot Controls Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Australia

  • Design and deliver a number of large scale projects in HVAC and building controls, providing custom solutions in Controls, Networking, and System Integration.
  • Lead a number of large projects from design and end-to-end integration and controls in both residential and commercial buildings such as Epping Private Hospitals, Aurora, Swanston Central, The Glens shopping centre, Primer Apartments, M. City, just to name a few.
  • Managing large-scale projects, from design to implementation and deployment. Coordinating with wide range of people from internal team as well as external parties such as suppliers and contractors to ensure projects go smoothly and meet the deadline
  • Provide technical support and after-care services for clients and customers.
  • Responsible for all the technical challenges and provide custom solutions to any complex problems for clients.

Software & Control System Engineer
(Developer Tridium Cert.)

ConserveIt Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Australia

  • My responsibility was focused, but not limited to designing and developing control solutions, providing technical support for local and international Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry. My day-to-day work involved a lot of hands-on projects including smart products that improve efficiency in building automation and controls of smart buildings. In addition, I intensively uses PLC tools and writing programs (Java Development) using Tridium framework.
  • I had great expossure to software developement for both backend and frontend. My work also required a lot of design, implementation, commissioning as well as systems integration.
  • I managed a number of projects, providing technical support and complete control solutions which optimize and save millions of dollars in electrical bills for our valued clients worldwide. I had a very good knowledge and understanding about control system and familiar with variety of control products. I was a key team player, who successfully developed a highly complex controller for chillers and equipment such as pumps, cooling towers in chiller plant.

Research Engineer

Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology.
Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia

  • My research was focused on the areas of electrical and control engineering and its applications, specialized in intelligent control of steer-by-wire systems in modern vehicles, robotics as well as networking systems. I was very familiar with MATLAB and Simulink, which I often used in control design, modeling hardware in the loop (HiL) testing, and real-time control.
  • I had successfully developed a robust control algorithm for steer-by-wire systems in road vehicle. I designed a learning control scheme to improve the tracking performance of steering-by-wire systems under uncertain road conditions and unpredicted environments. The project was very successful and nominated by Society of Automotive Engineers Australasia (SAE) as winning project in 2013 for the excellent work.
  • I had in depth knowledge about control system theory and system modeling, I was capable of designing a custom robotic system, precision control with AC/DC motors as well as robot arm (ABB, Kuka), CNC machine.

Lab Systems Engineer

Intel Corp., Penang, Malaysia).

  • I was a core member of pioneering team setting up Intel’s the latest and largest production site based in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
  • In particular, as lab systems engineer, I was responsible for the research, development, and implementation of advanced electronic and semiconductor technologies. I was also in charge of setting up new labs at Intel including installations, operations and maintenances for a mixed variety of electrical and electronic equipment as well as the supervision of the day-to-day lab activities.
  • I took every responsibility for lab startup progress, involved in all lab tool designs, installations, operations and maintenance of all electrical equipment and machines.
